Matching engine and frame serial number bike, and as a matter of fact, it’s number 16 off the production line in 1945, which probably makes it the 1st surviving 1945 in existence as I haven’t seen a lower No 1945 out there.
She has old worn blue paint on her, making her appear like a nice survivor running on 16” tires.
A rebuilt engine and transmission. I still have a little bit of final assembly on this bike to do, but she will be a reliable runner with good solid bones. This era chief (leaf spring forks, plunger rear suspension, 16” wheels) is absolutely tons of fun to ride.
